CONTEXT

"We moved away from what actually feeds us. We forgot that if we want the soil to nourish the animals, and nourish us, we have to give something back to the soil first."

— Loránd Țăpuc, Founder and Mountain Gardener

KongoFarm is a 130-hectare regenerative ecosystem in the Carpathian Mountains. They focus on preserving indigenous livestock breeds and restoring the natural balance between the land and the animals. For Loránd, sustainability isn't an abstract ideal; it is a daily, hands-on commitment to moving forward honestly, knowing that nature is complex and rarely perfect.

APPROACH

Our question was simple: how do we build a brand that honors what is already there?

In a world where everyone tries to manufacture authenticity, we chose to avoid the feeling of being "designed" altogether. Bold design means taking away what is unnecessary, so we let the raw reality of mountain farming dictate the aesthetic. We looked at how sheepkeepers actually work; they wrap products in simple paper and write notes with a ballpoint pen. We refused to use borrowed language.

The logo reflects this mindset through a simple rotation of words, where the letter K physically points inward, a quiet nod to Loránd’s philosophy of giving back to the soil first.

SOLUTION

We delivered a brand identity that chooses honesty over decoration. Instead of creating a polished mask, we built a transparent window into the farm’s daily life.

The visual language is basic and functional, designed to support everything from cheese packaging to eco-tourism without losing the grit of a real mountain farm. We didn't invent a new voice; we just amplified the clear, straightforward language Loránd has been using for years. We believe a brand should reflect reality, not manipulate it.

impact

Since launching the new identity, KongoFarm has grown its organic reach naturally, by keeping the message simple, a local mountain mission turned into a recognizable brand that feels instantly familiar.

Within months, the farm secured partnerships with major culinary brands, helping bring the principles of regenerative agriculture and healthy soil to a much wider audience.
