Prologue

Since the pandemic turned our world upside down, our team at the BOLD Branding Studio has been ceaselessly brainstorming ideas on how to stay creative and efficient, not to mention how to keep our right minds. This is how, among other projects, the idea of a children’s poem telling the tale of the almighty virus came along.

This is what happens when the copywriter is also a poet and the designer a talented illustrator.  We hope to bring a bit of joy and playfulness to your everydays with this story of a global hide and seek.

All the world, I’m sure, you heard,
Has turned upside down:
A virus floats around the globe,
It resembles a crown.

It’s on the streets, it’s on the trees,
On every stone and brick.
It’s in the air, it’s everywhere,
And makes you amply sick.
You’ll get weak, you’ll lose your streak,
And you’ll be coughing dry.
Sure enough it’s really rough
When fever runs up high.
But coronavirus cannot find us
If we’re not there to meet!
All boys and girls around the world
Are playing hide and seek.

Police cars with flashing lights
‘Round the roads they roam:
Making sure that we’re secure
and we remain at home.
I’m okay to have to stay,
In my room I belong.
It’s no drama, I wear pijamas
and dance all day long!

I don’t mind, I’ll go online
and play with all my friends.
In the run we’ll have some fun
And soon all this ends!
